The wait in Radiology was 30 minutes. Nockels was behind as well, but it's the end of the day so it wasn't totally unexpected. Everyone with whom I interacted was completely professional. The doc and PA were very patient with me, listened to my issues and responded appropriately.

Dr Cotler is an absolute wonderful doctor. Him and his team of doctors and nurses sincerely care about their patients. They don't talk above me and that is important to me. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Thank the Lord they come to Peoria 2 times a month.

Everyone up to and through the doctors visit was excellent including his nurse who treated me with professionalism, knowledge and care. Patient and doctor relationship was very courteous and listened to and answered all of my questions concerning my procedure. I recommend this physician and there will office.

Very impressed with the staff. I was able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. The office communicated with me well. Dr. Nockels nurse practitioner was kind and listened well. Dr. Nockels also made me feel listened to and I left feeling like I was in good hands.

I feel extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Nockels correct the problems to my C1 through C5 neck issues. From explaining what needed to be done, to monitoring the necessary traction, through the actual surgery, he showed great care. Checking on me in the hospital, and eventually after six weeks assisting with the removal of the halo apparatus show his concern for his patients. I will be forever grateful for his competence and bedside manner in a very difficult and scary situation for me!

Dr. Nockels was professional and thorough in my treatment, I was never unsure about the procedure or what the risks could be. I am pleased to say that I now have no cervical spine pain and the pain in my ear is completely gone. If you are looking for a reputable neurosurgeon with a compassionate and informative bedside manner, I recommend Dr. Nockels. You will not be disappointed.

I have been seeing Dr. Nockels for a few years and two surgeries later, I recommend him highly. He gets five stars plus from me for his surgical skills and bedside manner. He is extremely talented and highly regarded in the medical field, and in addition, has a calming demeanor that puts patients at ease. I suggest that patients go to the Loyola Medicine website and look at some of his cases. He is aware of his limits and knows his skill set. He is totally honest with patients about the likely outcomes to be expected and does not overplay the final results of surgical procedures.
